JACKSON COUNTY, MI – A boil water advisory in Leoni Township has been lifted, officials said Thursday, April 29.
An earlier advisory for the Leoni Township Water System began Tuesday, April 27, because of a drop in system pressure.
But, subsequent sampling and water analysis showed the water is safe and meets state drinking water standards, operator-in-charge Rob Jones said. No contaminants were found.
Officials still recommend that households and businesses on the water system flush lines by running the tap for a few minutes before drinking the water.
