JACKSON COUNTY, MI – Communities in Jackson County are getting their first checks for licensing pot shops more than a year after they were first allowed to open.
Earlier in March, the Michigan Department of Treasury began disbursing payments of the tax revenue generated from adult-use marijuana sales during fiscal year 2020. In Jackson County, eight adult-use marijuana retailers brought in nearly $450,000 for four municipalities, according to a state report.
