Its a sevenyear deal that runs from the expiration in 2009 through 2016 and increases what the city contributes to the Union Health Fund while requiring workers to contribute more to their pensions. District council 33 agreement helps the city manage through times of recession and challenge by enabling an administration to use temporary layoffs.
