Where some of the students ended up. Anli . On the bus. Three were transported here. To be evaluated. Nothing life threatening. But eyewitnesses describe seeing some students hit their heads. The fdny says up to 25 people went to the hospital with injuriesall of them appear to be minor. The bomb squad is currently on the scene. Police are pushing everyone back to fifth avenue. Trains are also being diverted in the area. Stay with abc 11 for updates. This follows a pipe bomb explosion earlier today in new jersey. It went off shortly before a seaside park to benefit marines and sailors. The explosion occured in a trash can where runners were scheduled to pass. No one was hurt. The race was cancelled immediately following the blast. Police called the bomb sophisticated and that it wasnt the work of an amateur. The fbi has taken over the case.
