And our Team Coverage continues now with lauren meg inside Council Chambers for that vote. You just spoke with mayor jim kenny moments ago. It was a bit of a compromise. Reporter yeah, it was. He wanted a tax that was double what he ultimately got. But you could tell here today, that he is certainly happy with how things turned out. Now, as you just showed, there was a cheer in Council Chambers today when this happened. Let me show you what it was like in there. It was really packed. Folks on both sides came out with signs today and packed the chambers. They waited for about five hours for this final vote to happen today. It was 134. And as we came out of there, i saw people who are for this smiling, hugging, cheering, and some long faces on the people who are not in favor of r ray the smiles, though, for mayor jim kenny. Drivers are still getting caught by surprise. Good evening. Surprised not that just their car is towed but where its ending up. Were in fairmont park. We found a row of cars with tickets. A ticket here, come over here. This car, this has a ticket, as well. These cars all brought in from center city and dropped off right here. The flashing lights are from a row of tow trucks ready to clear this street. Moving out vehicles that arent supposed to be here.
