I asked voters how they are feeling tonight. I think anyone with a sense of reality would be nervous, right, but its a long night. Thats just how politics goes every four years in this country, but we know what the outcome will be, so im confident. Are you getting a little bit nervous at this point . No. Its still really early in the night. Honestly, im not really worried. Its always something is always going to happen. Its going to be late in the night, and at this point im still hoping that its going to be coming for hillary. Reporter so some optimism there, and also, a realization that this could take a while. These supporters came here hoping that they would see history made tonight with the first woman president elected. I am standing under a Glass Ceiling tonight. They were hoping that she would shatter this ceiling. She has talked so much about it. Instead, though, right now it is still more waiting. Live in new york city, im lauren, nbc 10 news. All right, lauren. The stock market has been reacting to this uncertainty in the race. At one point dow futures plunged 750 points tonight. Thats a bigger drop that be we saw after 9 11. Lets take a look at where the futures stand right now. The dow down 600 points. The nasdaq, 190. The s p 500 down 80 almost 84 points. As you know, it is the Electoral College that ultimately decides who will win the white house, and nbc 10s keith jones is here with a closer look at how this is all playing out. Keith. Looks like Hillary Clinton has secured battleground virginia as well as in the last few minutes california, oregon, and washington state, tipping the scales in her favor. 205197. Pennsylvania is too close to call. Thats 20 electoral votes. This president ial and senatorial race hinges on the state of pennsylvania. Also, want to show you where the race stands right now in our area. Here we go. In philadelphia 92 turnout. 92 of precincted reporting, rather. Hillary clinton is 82 to Donald Trumps 16 . About 75 of precincts. 57 to 39 . Much to be expected. Delaware county, about 86 of precincts reporting. Hillary clinton is up 59 to 39 . This pretty much mirrors president obamas lead in 2012 and also 2008. If anything, its a little bit bigger. In Chester County here about 32 of precincts reporting. Trump is down by about 12 points. Mitt romney actually won this county four years ago. Mccain, on the other hand, in 2008 lost. Up in uks about county, 26 of precincts reporting. Still early here. A twopoint lead for Hillary Clinton. This was just as close in 2012 with mitt romney and president barack obama. Moving to berks county. A little bit of a switch here. Donald trump up by ten points. Biggest issue, complaints of voters being asked to show an id at polling places. State Officials Say there have been no confirmed cases of intimidation or fraud. They also confirm there were issues involving approximately 25 voting machines. Officials say most of these problems were quickly resolved. Some machines were taken out of service. They claim this did not cause any inaccurate votes. One voter said in Montgomery County he went to the polls to vote and someone else had already voted in his name. There were similar complaints. Deanna durante is looking into the voting irregularities. I was looking forward to voting. Its been a long election season. Reporter as the poll was closing, we met mike. He had been there earlier in the day to vote. He doesnt want his last name used, but he does want answers about his ballot. A spokesman for Montgomery County said it is aware of it and of the Police Investigation trying to figure out if this was a crime or a mistake.
