There is an issue that came up earlier this year that you may have read about involving this implementation of a court that was supposed to treat individuals who were suffering from longterm alcoholism. And the court was set up in a way where individuals were not being arrested for a crime but instead were being jailed for contempt of court as long as 120150 days in jail. My office, when we learned of this, we were not involved in the creation of it, challenged it because we believed that it was unconstitutional because you were not charging people with crimes and you are jailing people for

Good afternoon. Im tori campbell. Breaking news out of oakland. A big rig crash at the port is causing a power outage and delays for b. A. R. T. Trains running through the area. The accident happened near the entrance to the port with outages affecting 200 customers along third and 7th street between brush street and San Francisco bay. The crash left wires dangling near b. A. R. T. Tracks so trains are moving slowly through the area. Thats causing tenminute delays. This is the scene from newschopper2. These are live images right now. You can see what looks like a pg e crew on the scene trying to restore power. The port is reporting a partial power outage. The power pole was completely knocked down.
