We begin in San Franciscos sunset district where Police Say One person was killed and four people injured in a horrific accident. Newschopper2 is live over sunset boulevard and yorba street, not far from the zoo. You can see from these pictures a large presence there. Streets are shut down in the neighborhood. This deadly accident comes just as city officials are holding a public hearing on a zerovision plan to cut pedestrian and bike injuries to zero by 2020. Into the bay. A house fire in Contra Costa County ends in tragedy. One person died after being trapped inside the burning home. It happened here on Mountain View avenue in bay pointe this morning. Im tori campbell. John sasaki is at the scene of the fire and joins us live. Reporter take a look amount the outside. You cant tell anything that happened here on Mountain View avenue. 00 d. C. County got the call there was a fire and firefighters got it under control within 20 minutes of receiving the 911 call. Not a big fire. From the outside, you cant tell it happened. But investigators say it was a smoldering fire that likely burned for some time. The home had no smoke detectors. So the man was in the back bedroom and got no warning of danger. Firefighters say they didnt see any burns on this individual. They believe maybe he was just overcome by the smoke. At this point, fire officials think the fire started because Combustible Materials were left on the front of a furnace. They should h

Evacuated after a gas leak on campus. Its happening right now at skyline high school. You can see the students streaming out of classes and onto buses. Good afternoon. Im tori campbell. We begin with that breaking news story in oakland. Were there live with what crews are finding and what weve learned about the cause of the leak. Reporter you can look behind me and see that pretty much all the students have gone home now. We do not know what caused this gas leak. Some school kids may have had a role in it. That gas leak on campus had all the kids out of the class this morning. Within an hour, everyone was sent home because School Officials believed the leak would not be capped until this afternoon. As you can see, that meant the 1900 students all flooded into the surrounding neighborhoods. The district said it was from and it was a pb with the heating system. Its already 87 in walnut creek. 86 in livermore. 83 in concord. 83 in areas like antioch and in the east bay is where im seeing the warmest temperatures. I want to slide over mt. Diablo.
