The  Wyoming Department of Health (WDH) reported 61 additional confirmed cases of COVID-19 during their 3 pm Thursday, April 15 update. There have been 48,394 total confirmed cases in Wyoming since the pandemic began. Probable cases rose by 15 to 8,809. Five additional confirmed cases were reported Thursday in Natrona County, where the tally stands at 5,882 confirmed cases. Probable cases rose by one to 1,994. Article continues below. The number of people hospitalized due to COVID-19 rose to 24 on Thursday, up from 22 on Wednesday, according to the WDH. Wednesday was the first time there have been more than 20 COVID-19 patients hospitalized since March 23.  Hospitalizations peaked in Wyoming on Nov. 30, 2020 at 247.

The  Wyoming Department of Health (WDH) reported 46 additional confirmed cases of COVID-19 during their 3 pm Wednesday, April 14 update. There have been 48,333 total confirmed cases in Wyoming since the pandemic began. Probable cases rose by 11 to 8,794. Four additional confirmed cases were reported Wednesday in Natrona County, where the tally stands at 5,877 confirmed cases. Probable cases rose by four to 1,993. Article continues below. The number of people hospitalized due to COVID-19 rose to 22 on Wednesday, up from 20 on Tuesday, according to the WDH. Wyoming residents who lost a loved one to COVID-19 are able to apply for up to $35,000 in funeral expense support “to help ease some of the financial stress and burden caused by the pandemic,” the Wyoming Department of Health said Tuesday. The WDH reports that 701 Wyoming residents have died after contracting COVID-19 since the pandemic began. The funeral expense funding is available through the ederal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and people can call a dedicated toll-free helpline at 844-684-6333 to apply. FEMA representatives are available to assist callers from 7 am to 7 pm Monday-Friday.
