advisor and team who understand where you come from. we didn t really have anything, you know. but, we made do. vo: know you can craft an investment plan as strong asour values. al, how you doing. hey, mr. hamilton. vo: know that together you can establish a meaningful legacy. with the guidance and support of your dedicated pnc wealth management team. media consensus is that marco rubio and ted cruz were the big wins and the pundits used a chilling phrase to describe jeb bush. let s talk about general and the death watch. it is taught looking good. the zoe nors are running for the exit. is there a death watch for the jeb bush campaign? last night in boulder, it democratic like a wake. some say that decision with
i ll tell you, if the polls don t move in favor of christie, rubio, and cruz after this debate, i think we should stop doing debates. when you look at the numbers people don t care. the economists, rubio was at 11% compared to trump s 32%. the room for movement there and growth was there for rubio. most people feeling unless people shut him off. unless people shut him off because they re mainstream more politicians. listen, the winners were for the most part the candidates on the stage who called out the blatant media bias. it s one thing for a moderator at a debate to ask a hard question. we want that. but when the candidate is answering you don t argue with him and that went on yesterday. listen to this as we watch the candidates come out last night in boulder, colorado. here they are, the moderators. they took their bets. they were trying to sand bag to kneecap the republicans. did they do it? well, they tried their best but
saying things fundamentally different than running for president 16 years later. it bothers folks because they have a really good nose for hypocrisy. you may change your mind on a set of issues. you may evolve over time. you may receive new information and data and personal experiences that do help you to form an opinion. and you can explain that. but that s different than disavowing something. let s remember that nobody on tv, nobody in the debate is ever under oath. that s what i tell people. we actually took that piece of evidence on the legal view and we found that website, we cut that moment and we played it back-to-back with his denial. it s very powerful when you see it that way. the other thing i wanted to mention is over time what happens with voters is they have a reason of expectation that you are consistent. that you are consistent in your past statements. whether you ve written a book or been on tv or said something. that will be assessed. it was something very con
manatech, et cetera, et cetera. the last i checked, when you put on a microphone and you sit for an interview like this with a company that posts it on its website as an endorsement, it s an endorsement. there s no other way to slice it. i agree. when you do these endorsements, chances are there were self-tve takes. it wasn t just one take. he s not sort of caught by the press going by a rope line and mentioning something and they pop it up. he was brought in, he got makeup and lighting. this was a set-up plan. it wasn t a paid speech. that was an endorsement interview. the other thing that s going on here for all the candidates, and we saw this in 2012 as well, which is these aren t youthful indiscretions. this isn t you burning the american flag or burning a bra at woodstock 40 years ago. this is like last year. that hurt mitt romney because people looked at him in a debate against ted kennedy and he was
by the standards of cnn s debate, 24 million, a lot fewer people tuned in for this one. maybe it was because the world series was on. maybe it was because it was so chaotic that people didn t want to watch it nearly as long. there was that sort of nasty overtone. there was a lot of barb going back and forth. when you hear the audience booing the moderators. part of me is sympathetic to the moderators. i think jake tapper, anderson cooper, megyn kelly, these guys have made it look easy. it s a very difficult job. the moderators were not well prepared enough. the producers were not well prepared enough. cnbc is going pretty red-faced now. there were a couple things said by those on the stage that weren t particularly well thought out or prepared either. i m going to point out what ted cruz said with regard to how the media s been treating the republican candidates. have a look at this. the questions that have been asked so far in this debate illustrate why the american people don
