saying things fundamentally different than running for president 16 years later. it bothers folks because they have a really good nose for hypocrisy. you may change your mind on a set of issues. you may evolve over time. you may receive new information and data and personal experiences that do help you to form an opinion. and you can explain that. but that's different than disavowing something. let's remember that nobody on tv, nobody in the debate is ever under oath. that's what i tell people. >> we actually took that piece of evidence on "the legal view" and we found that website, we cut that moment and we played it back-to-back with his denial. it's very powerful when you see it that way. >> the other thing i wanted to mention is over time what happens with voters is they have a reason of expectation that you are consistent. that you are consistent in your past statements. whether you've written a book or been on tv or said something. that will be assessed. >> it was something very consistent last night.
