Mumbai Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project: The National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL), responsible for executing the country s first bullet train project, signed a contract agreement with Larsen & Toubro (L&T) - IHI Consortium on February 22, 2021. The agreement signed is for the fabrication and procurement of 28 steel bridges, for crossing over railway lines, rivers, highways, roads, and other structures for the Mumbai Ahmedabad high-speed rail corridor. The NHSRCL awarded the Rs 1,390 crore contract to Larson and Toubro – IHI Infrastructure Systems (Consortium) on January 25, 2021. The scope of these packages involves design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of extra-high voltage transmission lines on turnkey basis.
A fast-growing economy in the region, Bangladesh has embarked on a programme to alleviate infrastructure deficiencies and upgrade its power system to sustain the growth.
To cater to the power demand in emerging load centres and the Greater Dhaka region, several projects are afoot including construction of the country s first nuclear power plant.

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], January 18 (ANI): Infrastructure major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) said on Monday its construction arm has bagged an order from Rail Vikas Nigam in the range of Rs 2,500 crore to Rs 5,000 crore.
The order entails heavy civil infrastructure work for a new broad-gauge line between Rishikesh and Karanprayag in Uttarakhand running through Himalayan terrain.
It involves the construction of 14.577 km up-line and 13.12 km down-line tunnel with embankments of 800 metres at both ends. The project is scheduled to be completed in five years. Establishing a rail link between Rishikesh and Karanprayag will not only facilitate easy access to Uttarakhand s pilgrimage sites but also enable the development of backward areas, connect new trade centres and serve the resident population, said S V Desai, Whole-time director and Senior Executive Vic
