Engineering and construction giant Larsen & Toubro (L&T) proudly announced its design and construction of the much-anticipated Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. The consecration is set for Monday, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi attending. L&T, following the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust s mandate, has created the temple within a 70-acre complex, showcasing architectural grandeur in the ancient Nagara style. Standing 161.75 feet tall, 380 feet long, and 249.5 feet wide, the temple is built to last a millennium, featuring three stories and five mandaps.
The company added that it is a first-of-its-kind railway electrification project for India involving the implementation of Japanese Shinkansen High Speed Electrification Technology with sophisticated equipment, including heavy compound catenary system and change over switches
The project will initially be developed to handle 6 MPA (million passengers per annum) capacity to be further enhanced to the capacity of 12 MPA: L&T statement
