Thursday, december 11, 2014. Couple of snowflakes, north and west of the city, south and east of the city, the city not quite as much right in you. Was your car covered in a little dusting . Dusting. Caitlin, one of those days. It is, we have little coating throughout with some snow showers, yes, still a part of the same noreaster that we talked about couple of days ago it, brought all of the rain. Here it is, way up in new england, kind of spinning northwest ward, thats why, we keep seeing on the back side these snow showers come through. It will take a while for the storm to totally exit, and so it will take a while for us to totally lose the snow showers. It is cold enough to be snow, not rain right now, mainly, north and west of us from harrisburg, up through williamsport, thats where there is some steadier snow, chester county, Lancaster County, few flakes in the city, light snow down in south jersey, but overall, seeing break already here in philadelphia. And then well start to change over to rain, but temperatures will still be marginal so that we will have the light coating of freezing rain, the ice that falls on top of the sleet and snow. Good news, though, we dont have nearly as much moisture in this forecast as we did with the one last saturday. So just light accumulations. Its going to be bad for the roads, but it could be much worse, just like it was, of course, last saturday. So heres the setup. Well see cold air from top to bottom from the cloud to the ground to start. Thats snow. Were going to see a little bit of a changeover by about noon. That milder air starts to wedge its way in here. Thats when we get the sleet. The rain will melt before it hits the ground. Thats when you get those ice balls that kind of pop off the windshield. Then freezing rain
