Heavy rain and already saturated soil has taken a toll on thetrees along the coast. This huge monterey pine crushed the front of a duplex here off 49thavenue. Barry temple says the tree might just as easily have fallen on his house. Sot barry temple neighbor . My wife was out for a walk and she heard a loud crack and saw a tree fall across the street and then there was another crash and this tree came down across from out house. no one was hurt because the residents of the front unit had just left for work when the tree fell. Back. That breaking news tonight is out of arlington county, take a look at this picture a witness took of a twoalarm fire. The house caught fire around 3 30 this afternoon. This fire happened on the other side of this church. Because there are so many fire trucks and hoses, this is as close as we could get right now. But as you said a deputy fire marshall told me just minutes ago, that there are two confirmed fatalities, a little bit earlier, they were telling us that two people were unaccounted for, two people described as being older who did not make it out.
