The Lady Cavaliers took third Friday in the Capital City Girls Tournament, earning the team’s first tournament plaque.
“That’s our first plaque as a team, I told them ‘We’re on the up, just keep working and good things will happen,’” Capital City coach Mitch Werdehausen said. “Just proud of how hard the girls worked. … Third place isn’t too bad after where we came from last year.”
