Pershing county Sheriffs Office is investigating a death after heavy rains soaked the grounds in the desert. We dont know how the person died, the victims family has been notified but theres no information right now. The driver in that sedan, a 22 year old man from san jose, died in that crash, according to witnesses that prior to the crash, the honda had entered the freeway and was traveling the wrong way. So it was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes just prior to the crash. The chp says the vehicles are cleared now, but theyre still cleaning up a fuel spill from the big rig. The hazmat crew wasnt expected to even get to the scene until now, and it has been rough on all roads all over the bay area. You can see red on google maps there in certain parts of the freeways throughout the east bay and other parts of the bay area, san jose isnt looking quite as bad, though, as it was an hour ago.
