And thats a stubborn right now, as you can see, the east bay shoreline. But this will probably parse away long before leave you today. Heres a look at our satellite picture in most of the major traffic is out to sea. Cant quite make it out. But theres a little low kind of upstairs. Its driving enough that provides that lift. So that keeps the marine layer kind of all strong and all. But it does provide us with cooling. Remember, we like these things in july. In august, we got taken out onshore winds in place. You can see that will be the story over the next couple of days. Temperature check for you. Most readings in the middle 50s some lower 50s up north and along the coast. But that puts us a couple degrees ahead. Will probably be sliding, though, all this morning as trail for more numbers from yesterday. 58 by 11 oclock still fighting quite a bit of this fog clouds, particularly around the bay. 63, with a mixed bag of sun and clouds for the bay will say and probably more mostly sunny. She says if the Trauma Center wasnt there, it may have been a different story. Somebody can die in that time that they could have already been connected to something in the Trauma Center. You know, hca sent kron 4 statement that says regional Medical Center is disappointed by the actions of certain officials and activists. Call today all right, taking a live look outside at Golden Gate Bridge at the Golden Gate Bridge this saturday morning, looking quite damp out there overcast as well. Day. The fog is going, hey, guess what, on hanging around town this weekend . Yeah, good morning, stephanie. Good morning, everybody. But a different perspective for you. This is from our mount tam picture. And there you have the layer of cloud cover, fog, marine layer, whatever you want to call it right there and right above it. Whats going on, drier air, little warmer. But the key issue is much drier, too. So we need to get again a little mixing going on here in peel. The sway of could be some problem areas. This afternoon. Well point those out to you in just a bit. But thats a general scenario with the were in a letter to slap on top of us this little low. Thats upstairs. We like these guys in july in august because it provides nice blue skies. You saw above. But this time if year we have the thicker fog at the deal with midfifties right now for the east bay. 59 for san jose. 51 San Francisco. 52 Half Moon Bay lower 50s hanging up north. Back to our future cast here with that marine layer. Look at the roadway inland most pronounced, but even in the early afternoon problem areas here in the south bay, little bit off to the east bay and peninsula, those look to be the last inland areas to clear today. And that will still be in the afternoon of the coast, particularly along the peninsula. Its going to be rough going today. Youre probably see clouds all day and chilly. Temperatures are forecast there with the 50s in place. Doesnt quite feel at all like a start to summer are getting things started on sunday morning. Marine layer comes back, but its really spilling in the monterey bay, not so much up here and that will mix out much quicker and by noon, most areas should be back into the mostly sunny mode. Bumping those inland temperatures up a noticeable amount for your sunday compared to the day back to the monday. Drill will do that yet again and open up the skies for your afternoon. Now, meanwhile, we do have the onshore winds that brings in the marine layer at night, not too bad there into the teens and and the lower 20s at that. And that is also helping keeping us cool over today. And also into tomorrow numbers get a little bit more pronounced in the afternoon hours, but it will be with us through monday. I did check sfo said they didnt have any delays yet. They might just change that. But for today at the coast, its fog and chilly again. 40s prevail inland. A few clouds lingering but cool. Even for the season here now for tomorrow, mostly sunny. And well see some afternoon clearing at the coast where its going to be tougher going today, warmer inland with mid 70s. Then for next next week, youre not going so much of a bump on temperatures on monday. Its really going to be the latter portion of the week. Well get back in the those 80s maybe in scratching into some middle 80s at that as well. For today, we got 59 San Francisco variable clouds, part of the fairest way to freeze and on balance. 62 for oakland still got those scattered clouds and then 76. Meanwhile for san jose, theres the big board for you and you can see plenty of chilly numbers to be have maybe popping a 73 up there to a santa rosa next couple of days. Check it out here. We have moving to the 80s by the middle of the week stuff is just to be slow as the official start to some unofficial start to summer, logical summer. Get your next week to june. And thats what Hurricane Season is. So everybody things converging here in the next week. Its just up the work of the weather and well just be patient. Get through this damp morning and things will change up. It look pretty good this wonderful thanks, dave. Welcome back to the kron. 4 morning news. Thank you so much for joining us today. Lets get you started this half hour with a look at our forecast with dave spahr hey, stephanie, good morning and good morning, everybody. Quite a bit of cloud cover fog clouds we have to deal with. And theyre pretty pervasive there just about everywhere, if you will. And that will mix out of for the inland spots. This afternoon. However, around the bay, its gonna be a little bit more slow going. And we see even this activity in the south bay. This is one of the places we sometimes run to get some sunshine. Well, slow going this morning, as you can see, 2, this is one of our problem areas in the south bay. Little bit around the alum and the media county and also in the southern end of the peninsula. For the Santa Cruz Mountains, thats where some of this moisture is going to trap this afternoon and therefore, thats going to keep some of this cloud cover around. Were going to keep it kind of variable clouds, how it kind of phrase that on balance our onshore winds provide fresh moisture, too. But there is dry air upstairs. The will help out temperature. Check for middle 50s for the east bay. Weve got 52, San Francisco, a Half Moon Bay and also up north. Your contrast to yesterday were a couple degrees ahead of that progress. But as you can see for the breakdown, weve got to cloud cover even inland as we get to 11 oclock as late as that. But by this afternoon, we should start to see some mostly sunny skies working in here again, problem areas will be parts of the east bay, south bay and the peninsula little bit more. That 4 zone forecast coming up. Well take a look into next week, too. Stephanie. Dave, thank you. Its set to be a busy week for attorneys representing david de pap the man convicted at a federal level for attacking paul pelosi. The husband of nancy pelosi. The path is set to be resentenced on tuesday for his federal conviction. But at the state level, things are just getting started. Kron fours. Ken wayne spoke with attorney Michael Cardoza. What we could possibly expect. The judge in the federal case said she made a mistake. What happened . Well, what she did was after shes sentenced a pop. She realized she didnt give him the opportunity to make a statement to the court and then federal court, i think over 80 of defendants want to Say Something to the court. One of the big things i noted was that the prosecution after the case said he showed no remorse at all. And a lot of people start to giggle that that. And so well wait a minute. Didnt give him a chance to show any remorse or to talk. So basically its not a small point. Its not going to reverse this case. Its not going i think have much effect. Id be shocked if the judge after listening hiphop, if he decides to talk whether she reduces that or not. And he still has a state case which could add more prison time to what hes already. Yeah, well, i i when i was a prosecutor a lot of state prosecutor to the case and the federal government had a case they would often times just drop in and say, ok, youve got convicted in state court or vice versa. In this case, theyre not doing that. A lot of people are asking. Not double jeopardy. Youre being tried for the same thing is really not because the state has added 4, 5 different counts. One of which is, of course, the attempted murder case and issue is, are elements to for an improving the cases in the state court in the elements are different and federal the south, the whats going on in state court. So i dont think jumper double jeopardy will hold. Cardoza went on to say the judge in the federal case may be worried about this whole case being reversed and thats why shes pushing for resentencing. Well be following both the federal and state cases on air and online kron 4 dot com. And a warning. Is getting back on track backers of the recall admit some crimes are down. They also make the claim thats because people arent reporting crimes as much as they used to. And because fedup retailers have closed their stores crime absolutely not down anyway. That means something for the crime. Its not down to the way that makes feel safe. Crime has not gone the way that businesses pull recall backers say they will wait until they have 40,000 signatures to file. Since tao only received just under 40,000st choice votes in the first round of the ranked Choice Voting election. Back in november of 2022. That sends the message. And while to start things off, quite a bit of cloud cover fog. You know that marine layer and all that. Quite thick this morning. Not your imagination. And the other issue is going to be slow to clear in some places. It doesnt usually take so long inland. It looks like in parts of the east bay in the south bay. Heres a shot of the east bay shoreline promise. She was there. But this late hour, its still hanging around. So it just shows you how stubborn that fog will be. That will translate more to overcast skies in the late Morning Hours. Onshore winds and provides fresh marine Layer Moisture for us that the air above us is dry and its not real. Real warm. So we should start to get some mixing mechanics going on here. Mid 50s for the east bay for now 60 antioch, lower 50s up north and also along the coast. That will be a problem area all day today. Also with the cloud cover 60 at high noon by 3. Were talking. 64 even with turning sunny skies and look at kind of breaking it down for you across the bay. Dave, thank you. Its set to be a busy week for attorneys representing david de pap the man convicted at a federal level of attacking paul pelosi. The husband of nancy pelosi. The path is set to be resentenced on thursday for his federal conviction. But at the state level, things are just getting started. Kron fours ken wy spoke with attorney Michael Cardoza on what we could possibly expect. Yeah, well, i i when i was a prosecutor a lot of if. State prosecutor to the case and the federal government had a case they would often times just drop in and say, ok, youve got convicted in state court or vice versa. In this case, theyre not doing that. A lot of people are asking. Well, its not double jeopardy. Youre being tried for the same thing is really not because the state has added 4, 5 different counts. One of which is, of course, the attempted murder case and issue is, are elements to for improving the cases in the state court in the elements are different and federal the south, the whats going on in state court. So i dont think jumper double jeopardy will hold. Continue to follow both the federal and state cases on air and online on kron 4 dot com. And a warning. By the way, sfo looking for about an hour delay. And all of this going through some of the fog as we can see right now from our shots of the east bay shoreline. Still kind of that overcast, a position here. And thats what were going to stay in the bay area until we get to maybe around noon or so. Onshore winds is what weve got going on here. Well, what she did was after shes sentenced the pop. Well, not double jeopardy. Youre being tried for the same thing is really not because the state has added 4, 5 different counts. One of which is, of course, the attempted murder case and issue is, are elements to for an improving the cases in the state court in the elements are different and federal the south, the whats going on in state court.
