Representatives of Uzbekistan’s tourism industry are visiting Brest Oblast on 17-18 May, BelTA learned from the press service of the Brest Oblast Executive Committee.
"Brest Oblast is an economically important region, one of the most popular tourist destinations of the country. Today, we see a positive momentum in the tourist flow. In 2022, we welcomed 1,500,000 visitors. According to operational data, in January-November 2023 the tourist numbers are already 1,600,000," Elena Kosmach said.
The delegation was welcomed by Brest Oblast Governor Yuri Shuleiko, who is responsible for cooperation between Belarus and this Russian region. He expressed confidence that interregional contacts would grow more robust.
