Our Correspondent Kohima, Nov. 18 (EMN): Alumni Association of St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Jakhama, celebrated its silver jubilee on Friday at the college campus in Kohima. While pronouncing the invocation prayer, Rev. Dr. Fr. George Keduolhou Angami, principal of the college, stated that the alumni meet-cum-celebration of 25th anniversary of the association was an opportunity to celebrate “one love and one heart.” The college’s principal, a 1985 batch, went on to state that the fundamental reason why they have alumni meet was to create opportunity for the college to show love and affection towards their former graduate students and to celebrate their achievements. Also speaking at the event, advocate and first present of the college alumni association, Kezhokhoto Savi, recalled that in the year 1997, the then college principal invited few of them to form the alumni association. Dimapur, Nov. 4 (EMN): As part of its annual activity, the teaching and non-teaching staff of the Kohima Law College (KLC) visited Kohima Orphanage and Destitute Home (KODH) on November 2 and held a fellowship with the children. An update from KLC informed that the team contributed basic kitchen needs such as rice and dal to the orphanage. During the fellowship, the college’s principal, Soni Tep, shared the life story of Joseph from the Bible, while assistant professor, Kezhokhoto Savi, presented a motivational talk by narrating the story of an Indian billionaire and how a small disabled child changed his life and mindset. Stating that their visit to KODH and seeing the smiling faces bring happiness, Savi advised the children to remain a blessing to many in the days to come, especially with the approaching of Christmas season.
