2nd Open Chakhesang Naga Wrestling Championship from Nov 3

Dimapur, Oct. 24 (EMN): Under the aegis of the Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA), the 2nd Open Chakhesang Naga Wrestling Championship 2022 and Under-14 Naga Open Wrestling Championship is all set to be held on November 3 and 4 at Pfutsero sports complex. An update informed that the event will be organised by the Chakhesang Wrestling Association (CWA) in collaboration with the ‘4th edition of the peace marathon’ to be hosted by the Kalos Society, Pfutsero. Former president of CWA, Vekhosa Ruho, will be the special guest in the Under-14 championship to be held on November 3. Kuzholuzo Nienu, MLA, and Neikhrolo Khalo, vice president of Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) will attend the championship on November 4 as special guest and guest of honour respectively. Winning the coveted title, Pienyü lifted the championship belt along with a cash prize of INR 1,20,000. Pienyü, who is also the champion of this year’s NagaWrestlingMania heavyweight category, entered the ultimate King of the Ring final after defeating Kevizhakho Suokhrie, the champion of the lightweight division in the second semi-final with a point deficit.
