(KEYC) Mankato police made an arrest in connection with an armed burglary and assault that happened early Wednesday morning. Police responded to the 500 block of Joseph’s Path in Mankato at 12:25 a.m. Authorities say they arrested Qalid Hussein Jama, who was allegedly armed with a handgun during the burglary. “The victims were reporting a person had come to the door and entered the residence and they had sheltered in place,” said Dan Schisel, associated director at the Mankato Department of Public Safety. “When officers arrived the suspect had fled out the back door.”
