Published on: Thursday, July 29, 2021 By: Hayati Dzulkifli Text Size: Kota Kinabalu: Sabah recorded highest caseloads of positive Covid-19 cases on Wednesday with 913 – an increase of 172 compared with 741 cases on Tuesday, contributing to the cumulative total of 81,844 cases. Sabah’s official Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun  (pic) said Sabah also registered a spike in Covid-19 fatalities with nine deaths on July 28 compared to three the day earlier.  Kota Kinabalu and Sipitang recorded three deaths  each while one in Kudat, Penampang and Papar. ADVERTISEMENT “Kota Kinabalu topped the list with 234 new cases including 27 cases from Kepayan Prison, followed by Penampang with 101 cases, Tawau (73) cases, Beaufort (70) cases, Kalabakan (61) cases and Tuaran (56) cases.

Published on: Sunday, July 25, 2021 By: Anthea Peter Text Size: Kota Kinabalu: Sabah set a new record high as cases shot up to 712 on Saturday from 516 on Friday, while a new high of eight deaths were recorded – three in Sandakan and one in Kota Kinabalu, Penampang, Kudat, Tawau and Beluran, respectively.  Sabah’s Covid-19 Spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun  (pic) said 53.8 per cent of the caseload are close contacts (383 cases) which possibly indicates the people’s complacency in complying with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).  “This spike in cases reflect that many still do not fully comply with the SOPs.
