KOTA KINABALU: Sabah’s Covid-19 numbers are seeing a downward trend for now, but could go up again as many backlog cases have yet to be processed, says Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun.

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah recorded highest caseloads of positive Covid-19 cases on Wednesday with 913 – an increase of 172 compared with 741 cases on Tuesday, contributing to the cumulative total of 81,844 cases.

(pic) said Sabah also registered a spike in Covid-19 fatalities with nine deaths on July 28 compared to three the day earlier.
Kota Kinabalu and Sipitang recorded three deaths each while one in Kudat, Penampang and Papar.

“Kota Kinabalu topped the list with 234 new cases including 27 cases from Kepayan Prison, followed by Penampang with 101 cases, Tawau (73) cases, Beaufort (70) cases, Kalabakan (61) cases and Tuaran (56) cases.
