the law that the council passed, whether that allows people who are either independent or haven t declared any party at all to register as democrats before the election. well i think it s a very inappropriate thing to do. i can t imagine the board of elections and ethics at this point would begin changing rules. the d.c. mayor primary is less than three weeks ago. john mccain won last night s primary in arizona. the long-time republican defeated jd hayworth. john mccain had the endorsement of palin. the senate race in alaska between joe miller and lisa murkowski is too close to call. rick scott pulled off a win against bill mccollum and in florida it s a three-way contest. charlie crist switched parties to go up against marco rubio and kendrick meeks who also won last night. all of the primary results are on our website at myfoxdc.com. another big story we re following, the struggling economy. the lack of job growth and ongoing housing woes continue to do a number on
it involved a shuttle bus and a hotel shuttle van. now what happened is the ride- on bus was headed southbound. the van was headed northbound and tried to make a left. that s when the crash happened. now every single person involved in the accident was sent to the hospital with injuries. both of the drivers had to be extricated from the vehicles by rescue crews. this morning we had a two- vehicle collision involving a ride-on bus. we had a total of ten patients injured, three critically. reporter: 13 people in all were injured from bumps and bruises to critically injured. the driver of the hotel shuttle ban has been charged with failure to yield to the right- of-way. i m lindsey mastis. 9 news now. thank you, lindsey. well the d.c. fire department is investigating a string of arsons in northwest washington. several cars and scooters were badly burn add long 16th street northwest. our 9 news now kristin fisher has more from the scene where an investigation is underway.
