MEMPHIS The Ubly girls basketball team picked up its fifth straight win on Monday night, overpowering host Memphis, 48-16.
The Bearcats are now 5-2 overall and 5-1 in conference play.
Ubly head coach Joel Leipprandt attributed his team’s improved play to changes the Bearcats have made since the start of the season.
“The girls are adjusting to their new roles and our overall energy has been improving every game,” Leipprandt said. “Our offensive timing is getting better, as well.”
Leading the way for the Bearcats on Monday night were Dajnae Leipprandt with 17 points, Josie Gusa with 9, Madeline Langenburg with 8, Kylie Maurer and Hally Zeihm with 5 each and Hailey Mausolf with 4.
