COVID vaccination certificate required to enter public places: Karnataka Health Minister amid surge in cases

Karnataka Health Minister Dr K Sudhakar said, “There will be strict enforcement of presenting vaccination certificates, as a universal pass, before entering any public place, including markets, malls, pubs, bars, restaurants, etc.”

The night curfew has been extended till January 19 and weekend curfew is also being imposed as a preventive measure to check the third wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Amid alarming COVID-19 cases, Karnataka minister R Ashoka announced that a weekend curfew will be imposed from 10 pm on Friday to 5 am on Monday in the state. Bihar's home ministry ordered that curfew hours will be from 10 PM to 5 AM and, along with other curbs, shall remain in force. BMC has also mandated rapid RT-PCR tests for all international passengers arriving in Mumbai amid Omicron scare.
