NSCN (IM) clarifies October 21 incident Dimapur, Oct. 22 (EMN): The NSCN (IM) on Saturday clarified that the stand-off like incident that took place on October 21 between the Assam Rifles and Naga army of NSCN somewhere near Council Headquarters (CHQ), Hebron, has been resolved amicably at higher level. An NSCN (IM)’s statement through its MIP clarified that there was no snatching of arms from the Assam Rifles personnel as reported by some local dailies. Dimapur, Aug. 22 (EMN): Skill training of rural youth (STRY) programme on the theme ‘Value-added food products for income generation’ was organised by ATMA Dimapur from August 16 to the 22nd at ATMA training hall, Dimapur. ATMA Dimapur in an update informed that the objective of the programme was to impart skill-based training to rural youths on agri-based vocational areas in agriculture and allied areas, to promote employment in rural areas and for creation of skilled manpower to perform farm and non-farm operations, under sub-mission on agriculture extension (SAME). A total of 15 female participants of 18 years and above registered for the training course. Course director and deputy project director (ATMA), Dimapur, Avitoli K Yeptho, in her welcome address stated that ATMA has been an integral part in technology dissemination.
