Supreme Court justices raised the possibility of sending at least part of a rules package back to committee because of an ongoing dispute over how it could affect filings by probate practitioners.
The court held oral arguments February 11 on Rules of Judicial Administration amendments that focused on keeping pace with an electronic instead of paper-based court system.
The amendments for the first time include the Florida Courts E-Filing Portal in the rules and also address electronic signatures, including by court officials, and e-service matters.
