The state has administered 480,810 doses of COVID-19 vaccine. That includes 318,509 primary doses and 162,301 second doses. In Chaves County, an additional 59 people received their first dose of vaccine compared to Thursday’s update, and 131 received a second dose. So far, 5,590 people in Chaves County have received a primary dose, or 11.3% of the population over the age of 16. The number of fully vaccinated Chaves County residents is 2,241, or 4.5% of the population 16 or older.

The deceased were a man in his 30s with underlying health conditions, a woman in her 60s with underlying health conditions, and two men in their 90s. One was a resident of Casa Maria Health Care Center, 1601 S. Main St., and had underlying health conditions. Of the other deaths, seven were from Bernalillo County; two each were from Luna, Sandoval and San Juan counties; and one each was from Cibola, Doña Ana, Eddy, Lea, Los Alamos and Socorro counties.
