Brantford and Brant County will move into the Red-Control level of the province’s COVID-19 pandemic framework on Monday.
Area business owners are optimistic they will be able to continue on despite more stringent restrictions, pinning hopes on their loyal customer base.

Audrey Pitcher and her husband Phil have owned The Rose and Thistle on Dalhousie Street in downtown Brantford for almost six years.
“It’s a friendly pub, we all know each other,” Pitcher said. “It’s a lot like (the television sitcom) Cheers, they come in and have a good time.”
