Mickelson, who is autistic, looked more at his fellow jumpers and coaches watching the long jump event than the line marking the pit he ran at.

(Klas Stolpe) Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The 2021 Native Youth Olympics Traditional Games will stream live from the Thunder Mountain High School gymnasium this Saturday and Sunday.
Juneau Native Youth Olympics coach Kyle Worl said the games are generally held each spring and normally feature teams from across the region and state and have even included teams from Canada and Arizona.
“The games are slimmed down this year and focused on more Southeast teams split into northern and southern events,” said Worl, a coordinator for the northern event in Juneau and for the southern event in Ketchikan, which has been rescheduled to May 22-23 due to a recent coronavirus concern there. “Safety is our biggest priority. (Klas Stolpe) Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The Juneau-Douglas High School Yadaa.at Kalé baseball team put up 36 runs in two games on Saturday at Adair Kennedy Field, topping the visiting Petersburg Vikings 13-2 and 23-1 in non-conference action.
“The players came out swinging and they didn’t stop,” Juneau-Douglas coach Chad Bentz said. “It was a really good weekend but I am honestly not surprised because they had a really good week of practice. I’ve always told them, if we prepare the right way the games will take care of themselves.”

Potter, set to graduate this spring, signed a national letter of intent Thursday to play college basketball for the Whitman College Blues.
“Since I can remember, it has always been my goal to play college basketball,” Potter said. “It is kind of the perfect combination of athletic and academic. It is a really rigorous academic school and a super successful athletic school so it was the best of both worlds. I care a lot about my athletics and my academics, and I really liked the coaching staff when I met them.”
