Three injured in incident at Vite Vite
Three people have been injured in a collision between a freight train and a truck in the South West this afternoon.
It s believed the collision occurred just after 2pm this afternoon near Vite Vite.
Ambulance Victoria has confirmed that three men were taken to hospital in stable conditions, after paramedics were called at 2:10pm.
One man was airlifted to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with lower body injuries.

The other two men were taken by road to Ballarat Base Hospital - one with upper body injuries and the other with no obvious injuries.
Locals encouraged to nominate exemplary youth
Nominations for the 2021 Warrnambool and Moyne Youth Awards are now open, with community members encouraged to nominate.
The awards recognise young people aged between 12 and 25 who have exemplified and demonstrated cooperation, resilience, responsibility, kindness and passion.
Warrnambool Mayor Cr Vicki Jellie said that the awards are an important opportunity to recognise and celebrate the talents and the strengths of the region’s young people.
“COVID-19 had an impact on everyone, but young people were hit especially hard,” she said.

Council s Push for Improved Planning on Wind Farm Developments Gains Support
The Moyne Shire Council’s push for an improved planning approach to renewable energy developments has received a boost after gaining support from the Municipal Association of Victoria (MAV).
In a motion put to Friday’s MAV State Council, Moyne Shire Council called on the MAV to advocate to the Planning Minister and Energy and Environment Minister for a strategic approach to be taken on renewable energy projects and transmission lines.
Moyne Shire Mayor, Cr Daniel Meade said that while the motion was passed, there was still a long way to go.
