East Alton man faces Class X meth charge Scott Cousins, scousins@thetelegraph.com FacebookTwitterEmail EDWARDSVILLE An East Alton man faces several drug and weapons-related felonies, including a Class X methamphetamine charge. Dwayne K. Miller, 46, was charged May 20 with unlawful possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, a Class X felony; unlawful possession of weapons by a felon, a Class 2 felony; and resisting a peace officer causing injury, a Class 4 felony. The case was presented by the Madison County Sheriff’s Department. According to court documents, on May 18 Miller allegedly was found to be in possession of between 15-100 grams of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, and a knife. It was noted he has a 2019 conviction for aggravated fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer in Madison County, making him ineligible to possess weapons.
