WELLSVILLE, N.Y. As the last of the Siemens AG/Dresser-Rand plant workers left the 100-acre complex in April, Craig Clark admitted he was concerned about the fate of the sprawling Allegany County industrial complex. It was a big concern, said Clark, executive director, Allegany County Industrial Development Agency. It kept me up at night.
Then Rochester investors Alan Knauf and Joseph Meindl provided what Clark believes is the answer. Through their Wellsville Business Park LLC affiliate, the two bought the plant and will transform it into Allegany County s first industrial park. The deal closed in December.
