Halo: Legacy Collection is set to release later this year on August 11th for $19.99. The comics in the collection feature words by Brian Michael Bendis (
Superman, Ultimate Spider-Man), Peter David (
The Dark Tower: The Gunslinger Reborn, Spider-Man 2099), and Fred Van Lente (
Conan the Avenger, Resurrectionists) as well as art from Alex Maleev (
Infamous Iron Man, Hellboy and the B.P.R.D.), Eric Nguyen (
X, Gigantic), and Francis Portela (
Black Panther, X-O Manowar) with colors by Matt Hollingsworth (
AfterShock Comics Announces ‘Seven Swords’ Launch
The folks at AfterShock Comics have revealed a new series that will be getting underway this summer with the announcement of
Seven Swords. The first issue is set for a June 16th, 2021 debut where it’ll be priced at $4.99. The new book comes from writer Evan Daugherty working with artist Riccardo Latina and colorist Valentina Bianconi. Dave Sharpe is on board with the lettering and the main cover comes from Andy Clarke and Jose Villarrubia while an incentive cover comes from JG Jones.

I’ve struggled with Sympathy for No Devils since the first issue as I feel like there’s something I’m missing, or a key I haven’t unlocked in order to get what’s going on here. Brandom Thomas is definitely having fun with it and has fully realized these characters, situations, and the world they live in but it hasn’t come across to me in a way that I’ve been able to connect with. At the same time, I’m thoroughly enjoying what Lee Ferguson puts to page as there are some really great designs here, whether they’re the small creatures like Floyd or just what we get from our leads with Crae and Winston. It’s interesting, unique, and it has me wanting to learn more about it all.
