A woman is dead after a vehicle strikes her and her nineyearold son in port richmond. Eyewitness news at aramingo and tioga. The womans child was taken to Saint Christophers Hospital and he is currently in Critical Condition. Authorities say the woman died shortly after arriving at Hahnemann Hospital and police say the 29yearold driver who hit them is suspected of dui but did stay at the scene. Headlines and how the victims family is renewing their efforts to change the law. Nbc 10 breaking news. A mother is dead and her 9yearold son is in Critical Condition after they were hit by a car. Lets go to the scene where nbc 10s Andrea Cline Thomas is live. Reporter lets start with showing you how forceful this crash was. That suv hit a light pole. The light is right here. The base of the pole is right here. But the pole itself is about 30 feet down the street next to that suv. This dodge derango was traveling westbound near tiogeau tree when it plowed into a light pole. A mother was standing on the a sidewalk nearby with her 9yearold son and whats believed to be her 11yearold daughter. The suv and light pole crashed on to them. The mother was pronounced dead at the hospital, her 9yearold is in stable condition. The 11yearold daughter was not injured. Witnesses ran to help the victims and confront the driver. A semiautomatic rifle in a gay nightclub in orlando, florida, this weekend. 50 people are confirmed dead. 353 more 53 more are injured, many of them critically.
