This dodge derango was traveling westbound near tiogeau tree when it plowed into a light pole. A mother was standing on the a sidewalk nearby with her 9yearold son and whats believed to be her 11yearold daughter. The suv and light pole crashed on to them. The mother was pronounced dead at the hospital, her 9yearold is in stable condition. The 11yearold daughter was not injured. Witnesses ran to help the victims and confront the driver. I tried to help her but i didnt know what to do. I was saying its okay talking to her but she couldnt talk to me. We i dont know the guy that was with me. We just ran towards the car. Tried to stop him from going anywhere. Reporter rivera was among the witnesses who pointed out the driver who police say tried to blend in with the crowd. Officers found syringes in his car and Drug Paraphernalia in the bushes. Now the driver is suspected of is going to be charged with dui.
