A criminal complaint filed on April 29 that was unsealed on Wednesday revealed that authorities are searching for 21-year-old Devontay Anderson in connection with the shooting of Adams and her father. An arrest warrant was issued for Anderson on April 26 after he was charged with first-degree murder, though authorities have not been able to locate and arrest him. The complaint also says that beginning on April 26, police received a GPS notification from a Facebook account associated with Anderson, placing his potential location in Miami, Florida.

Jaslyn and her father, Jontae Adams, 29, were in a McDonald’s drive-thru when men pulled up in a silver Audi, according to Cook County prosecutors. They say surveillance video shows two men got out of the car, fire weapons at the victims’ car and get back into the Audi. When the victims’ car started to move forward, the two men got out of the Audi again and fired more shots into the vehicle before speeding away.

Devontay Anderson, 21, one of the men accused of opening fire on the car, is believed to have fled the state. Jaslyn , who lived in Oak Park with her mother, and her 29-year-old father, Jontae Adams were waiting in the drive-thru lane of McDonalds, 3200 W. Roosevelt Road, on April 18. Surveillance video showed a 2017 Audi 88 pull up behind Adams 2003 Infiniti. Two men got out of the Audi and began firing dozens of rounds into Adams car, according to the newly unsealed federal charges.
