UPDATE: Cullman County Coroner Jeremy Kilpatrick confirmed on Tuesday that a second person has died following a weekend plane crash in Cullman County. Kilpatrick says Frederick Dawson Holloway, 74, of Cullman died of injuries sustained during the crash.

CULLMAN COUNTY Authorities say the man killed in a plane crash near Cullman Regional Airport has been identified as 70-year-old John T. Sigman, of Dyserburg, Tenn.
A second occupant was left seriously injured following the crash, which occurred at approximately 5:45 p.m. Saturday in a wooded area near the airfield. The second victim has been identified as Cullman resident Frederick Dawson Holloway a passenger at the time of the crash, according to reports.

The pilot critically injured in the weekend plane crash in Cullman County has died.
Cullman County Coroner Jeremy L. Kilpatrick said Frederick Dawson “Noah” Holloway died Monday night at the hospital. He is the second fatality from the Saturday crash.
The single-engine aircraft crashed Saturday evening in a wooded area about half a mile west of the airfield at Cullman Regional Airport, according to the airport’s general manager, Ben Harrison.
It’s unclear who was piloting the plane or what caused the crash. The Federal Aviation Administration is currently investigating.

CULLMAN, Ala. (AP) - A Tennessee man was killed and another person was badly injured when a small airplane crashed in north Alabama, authorities said.
John T. Sigman Sr., 70, of Dyersburg, Tennessee, died when a single-engine plane went down near Cullman Regional Airport on Saturday evening, said Cullman County Coroner Jeremy Kilpatrick. A Cullman man who was the identified as the only passenger in the aircraft was seriously injured. Kilpatrick said Sigman had come to Alabama to consider purchasing the airplane that crashed, The Cullman Times reported.
