A Toronto vlogger known for live streaming his walks through the city was allegedly assaulted after being followed into Broadview subway station.
Johnny Strides was ending his two-hour-long vlog at Broadview Parkette on Thursday, April 1 when the incident occurred. It was broadcast live on his YouTube channel to his 44 thousand subscribers.
In the footage (starting at 1:55:31) a man is heard asking Strides what he is filming, to which Strides explains that it s a live stream for his YouTube channel.

Toronto Police are investigating an alleged assault on a popular local vlogger at the TTC’s Broadview station late last week.
Johnny Strides, who is known for doing walking and cycling tour videos of the city, was livestreaming pigeons near the parkette north of Danforth and Broadview Aves. around 6 p.m. Thursday to his 44,000 YouTube channel subscribers when he was approached by a man wearing a medical mask.

“I can confirm we have a police report on file, and this is an active investigation,” Const. Laura Brabant said Monday. “Police are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time, who may have witnessed the assault, to contact police.”
