The York County Sheriff’s Office has charged 10 people in a sex investigation, saying they targeted suspects from several states who sought underage children online. That according to County Sheriff Kevin Tolson who said they targeted what were believed to be underage girls, between the ages of 10 and 17, through online apps. 5 suspects were from South Carolina and 5 were from North Carolina, including one who is a registered sex offender released from federal prison earlier this Spring. A Fort Mill location was used by police to lure in 7 of the suspects. The other 3 were arrested after online activity was found to be criminal. The FBI, Homeland Security, SLED and several other police agencies were involved in the operation, which took place from March 10th to the 14th.
