Downtown Phoenix s vibrant food and drink scene has gotten a boost in new offerings in recent months, from fruity, colorful cocktails that will quench your thirst in these 100-degree days to by-the-slice homemade bagels and pizza for any homesick New Yorkers.
Two well-known Phoenix restaurants have also joined Phoenix Suns Arena and Chase Field with new menus.
On May 13, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said fully vaccinated people can dine indoors and go to bars. A person is considered fully vaccinated two weeks after getting the second Pfizer or Moderna shot or two weeks after the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Businesses may still require patrons to wear masks.
It s called Baby Boy, and it was founded by Colton Brock (Ladera Taverna y Cocina), Tyka Cheng (UnderTow, Gallo Blanco, Jobot), and John Sagasta (Jobot’s owner). It s housed in an Airstream trailer hidden among some infant oleander bushes along Portland Street, and it s sort of hard to find; you have to meander through the lively, loud, vaguely dreamlike paths that course through the Pemberton s grounds. (Or you can just ask somebody where the hell it is.)

Arrive at the Airstream, and you ll find bartenders shaking and pouring brilliantly colorful drinks behind the walk-up window. The seating area is completely capped off by privacy hedges adorned with soft lighting and Adirondack chairs. Hip-hop blares.
Starting in March, get ready for banana daiquiris, blue Hawaiians and Mexican rum mojitos. A new cocktail bar housed inside a shiny silver Airstream is set to roll into downtown Phoenix.
Valley beverage experts Colton Brock, Tyka Cheng and John Sagasta are teaming up to bring the new bar, named Baby Boy, to The Pemberton. The camper will park alongside other food trucks and trailers at the local business complex popping up in the yard surrounding a historic house on Second Street.
The Pemberton also includes the new location of Film Bar, where customers can view movies at an outdoor theater. Other trucks and trailers in varying stages of opening on the property include Saint Pasta, Dino s Napoletana pizza and others.
