At my age, I need to start my day with a few repetitions, though they’re not the sort you might imagine.
I admire those hardy folks who slide out of bed, moving smoothly into the push-up position before doing a few repetitions.
But that’s not the way I wake up, and those aren’t the repetitions that bring me ’round to face the day:
“Up, Up, Up It’s Time to Get Up!
These are the repetitions that get me upright, but it doesn’t stop there, repetition-wise. I continue to rely on redundancies to smooth my stride over the bumps so common in a typical day’s travel.

Thank you, David Brooks, for your lovely tribute to Mark Shields on the occasion of his retirement as a regular analyst on “PBS NewsHour” (“It’s a Pleasure to Really Know Mark Shields,” column, Dec. 18). Your conversations on Friday nights have been among the highlights of my week.
I’m sorry Mr. Shields is retiring, but I wish him many blessings. I am grateful to you both and to PBS for bringing us rational intelligent opinions free of toxic rhetoric.

To the Editor:
I am a soon-to-be 60-year-old who has been watching Mark Shields and David Brooks with my now 93-year-old mother on Fridays for the last few years. The property is located less than 500 feet east of Shamrock Park.
“The expressed intent for this rezoning was to eliminate the existing non-conforming nature of the building for the intention of potentially constructing an addition to the structure,” Trocquet said. “… however, there are issues with proceeding forward in the rezoning process. The survey/conceptual plat shows existing structures over property lines. This makes these structures
