I wasnt a corps member but i was a recruiter for a while, so i saw in two years about 400 people come through. I recruited through the Environmental Center and went directly to the Coastal Commission so it definitely was an influence on me joining the coast guard. In the interest of full disclosure i was on the board of directors for the corps and they still do a lot of work in the district.
