WAPELLO — The patience of several members of the Louisa Regional Solid Waste Agency (LRSWA) toward other members who fail to attend the agency’s quarterly meetings has apparently run out.

The waiver was suggested by Iowa Department of Natural Resources officials after they learned the berm’s high cost could have forced the LRSWA to close the transfer station.
The board intends to sell portions of former railroad property included in what initially was intended to be an expansive trail system to adjacent property owners, with proceeds going toward development of other trail segments.
