After reviewing an offer from McDonald Ltd for about $3,407 per acre, the conservation board members agreed to present a counteroffer of $4,200 per acre, or $31,332, for the entire 7.46-acre parcel of Hoover Nature Trail.
The board intends to sell portions of former railroad property included in what initially was intended to be an expansive trail system to adjacent property owners, with proceeds going toward development of other trail segments.
