Apr 29, 2021 Brendon M. Carr, 25, Wellsville, was cited with failure to control, OVI and possession of marijuana at 11:47 p.m. April 20. Carr was traveling on state Route 7 in St. Clair Township when he drove off the road, striking a ditch and sign before overturning. Carr sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital. Daniel C. Kinsey, 34, Akron, struck a deer while traveling on state Route 172 in West Township at 8:55 p.m. Friday. Raymond L. Riley, 18, Minerva, was cited with failure to control after he attempted to turn onto Mountz Road from Homeworth Road in Knox Township and overcorrected, going off the road and striking a utility pole at 10:54 p.m. Friday.
COLUMBIANA COUNTY JUVENILE
A 16-year-old boy was cited in juvenile court for allegedly violating the terms of his probation on Jan. 14 by choking his mother and striking her multiple times.
A 13-year-old girl was cited after allegedly striking an employee of the Tobin Attention Center multiple times while she was housed at the facility on Feb. 11.
A 16-year-old Wellsville girl was cited after leaving home Feb. 28 and failing to return home or let her parents or guardians know where she was.
A 16-year-old Perry Township girl was cited for allegedly striking her mother and for screaming at and shoving another family member on Feb. 22.
County Sheriff A deputy responded to Bulldog Motors in Negley for a trespassing complaint at 1:17 p.m. Saturday. The deputy spoke to the owner who stated his vehicle had been towed to the shop and it was damaged in the recent fire on the property and he was there to obtain photos of the damage. The deputy advised him that the scene was still under investigation and no one was allowed on the property. Deputies responded to a residence on state Route 170 at 3:52 p.m. Tuesday for a suicidal person. Deputies made contact with the person and pink slipped the individual who was then transported to a local hospital for treatment.
A Garfield Avenue resident reported at 10:59 p.m. Tuesday a foster child ran away. A man reported at 1:41 p.m. Monday he was concerned his adult daughter may have been kidnapped. A West High Street man reported at 12:29 p.m. Sunday a sick raccoon was in his yard. Police found the animal was sick and it was put down. Police assisted deputies at a domestic disturbance at a Jimtown Road home at 11:53 p.m. Friday. Michael Harroff was later arrested for persistent disorderly conduct and transported to the county jail. A clerk at Circle K reported at 6:02 a.m. Friday a woman had been inside the store for several hours and seemed to be upset.
