On-loan midfielder Jimmy Juan has dropped out of the squad travelling to Sheffield United on Saturday due to a recurrence of the foot injury which has affected him on a number of occasions since he joined the Blues in January.
Central defender Jason De Vos is back in the Town squad for Saturday s trip to table-topping Sheffield United. The Canadian is likely to return to the side after cracking ribs in the opening day of the season home victory over Cardiff City.
Goals from Richard Naylor and Ian Westlake took the Blues to a thoroughly deserved 2-1 home victory over Sheffield Wednesday. Town were irresistible in a first half during which Naylor headed the opener, Westlake adding a second after the break before Lee Peacock s late consolation.
Dean Bowditch and Fabian Wilnis have joined Town s growing injury list after picking up knocks in yesterday s 1-0 defeat to Diósgyőri in Hungary. Wilnis came off at half-time with a dead leg, while Bowditch was replaced during the second period suffering with a sore leg.
Boss Joe Royle says he will be speaking to Jim Magilton, Fabian Wilnis, Jimmy Juan and Dean McDonald on Friday morning and hopes all four will be signing contracts.
