According to the earlier discussion during the meeting, the supervisors were apparently upset because of comments Willson, who is currently serving as the LCCB chair, recently posted on the WQAD-TV Facebook page, calling the board "corrupted."
A split board agreed to partially move forward on a recommendation from activities directors Michelle Wade and Brandon Brown to boost the district’s number of coaching and sponsor positions.
LCPZC members indicated earlier they were concerned about the public apathy to the plan, but had held out hope this would change when a public hearing was held and they considered a final recommendation for the supervisors. No one showed.
A representative of Natel Broadband said a $75,000 contribution would help financially with the project. He said the investment would help provide some county residents with quality 100/100 Mbps broadband service for $79 per month. Slower 50/50 Mbps service would run about $59 per month.
